I love the Fluevog Keiths. Resisted buying them while in San Francisco at Managing Experience, but bought them in Vancouver, closer to Fluevog’s ancestoral home. And home of UXBC, along with the last two great posts.
UX Shoes
Do you care about user experience? Of course you do. Do you wear good shoes? Let’s see ‘em.

These shoes have given us a leg up on design research.

A Content Strategists’ Shoes
UXers in boring shoes? I think not. We have a small team of UX specialists and we all (ok, maybe not all) wear sweet shoes. Today, I picked one of my favourite pair of red shoes for a splash of colour.

Hayley is walking those red routes

Despite a wardrobe floor covered in shoes I tend to wear the same ones almost every day until they fall apart. I’ve had these cushy beauties for a few weeks - super comfy and nice and bright.

ONCE EVERY 18 MONTHS?! Heidi. You are truly the eighth wonder of the world.
True fact about @heidistaats: I buy new shoes about once every 18 months.
These babies made the cut because:
- The original price was high
- The sale price was low
- The dark burgundy tone with the angled strap, fluted edges and embroidered heel would make even Dorothy jealous
- As a user, I liked them

Jung boots

@michaelseidel’s dead stock workboots from the Jung company, straight of of Sheboygan, WI.
Question 1: Do boots count as shoes for the sake of this blog?
Question 2: Do these boots count as good?
Answer: I have no idea on either account. -
Does Gail do cartwheels? Yes, please!
I’ve been known to do a cartwheel in the office from time to time. I love being a UX consultant. I bring the fun, wackiness, and empathy.

Rachel’s Oxblood Fluevogs

I don’t usually wear heels, but it’s been a while since I had a pair of oxblood shoes and I saw these and I was smitten. I had to buy a shoe horn in order to wear them, but it’s totally worth it.

Melissa’s red high heeled brogues, what’s not to love?
These are the shoes I wore to An Event Apart this year. Purchased at Office in Belfast.

It’s always summer in content strategy!
Not all UX happens in rainy, wintry conditions as you might assume from these pictures. I’ve lived in these suede and cork platforms this summer—and, bonus, they get me up to 5’11”. FUN! -

@Dex loves shiny things…

These are my favorite boots — silver 20-hole Doc Martens. Today is the first time they’ve come out to play for the season. If last year is any indication, they’ll be a wardrobe mainstay through the fall and winter.
